QUICKUTZ KLUB!

WELCOME!  This page is dedicated to Scrap Shack's QuicKutz Klub members.

You are more than welcome to browse our page and see what you won't want to miss next time!

Our next scheduled meeting is Saturday, March 8, 2008, from 8-9:30am.  Hope to see you there!

Memberships cost $30 and are for a 6-month period.  Your membership starts the day you sign up.  Each month, you will receive a 2x2 singlekutz die shape with a retail value of $6.99 for FREE!  These are always one of the new releases (our choice of shape).  If for some reason, there is not a 2x2 singlekutz released one month - that month's FREE die becomes customer choice of any existing 2x2 singlekutz die.

We have monthly meetings on Saturday mornings before the store even opens (usually from 8am - 10am).  We have snacks and refreshments, work on a mini project, and just have fun socializing!  Our members range from beginners to collectors from years of investing.

It's never too late to join!  Stop by or phone us today and sign up!

February 2008

We missed a few of you at the meeting - hope you can make to the next one. I'm hoping we have all of this new stuff in by then so we can play!! I told you QK's release would be out soon and it's some pretty cool stuff!!

Lisa brought chicken biscuits to share with everyone - very well received I might add! Bonnie, Kelly and Kathy brought in projects to share ideas. Each of you will recieve $5 store credit.

We did not choose anyone to bring goodies at the next meeting, so Scrap Shack (me) will provide inspiration at the next meeting. Again, hopefully using the NEW products! The next meeting will be on Saturday, March 8th.

The klub special for February will be 40% off any one item already in stock (QuicKutz products only and excludes these new releases and Silhouette obviously ). This will be honored through Sat, March 1st.

Unfortunate news ... there once again was no $6.99 die in this month's release.  Therefore, I'm still trying to work out the details of February's FREE die.  Not to worry - you WILL receive one.

February's release - images are already on the website. Be sure to check them out! QuicKutz

New Silhouette Software Features and Changes - I briefly touched on this subject at the meeting. Here's more:

  • Permanent price reduction for Digital Designs! As low as $3!
  • $25 Prepaid Download Cards now available!
Existing download cards have been converted from a quantity of downloads to a dollar value. Unused and partially used Prepaid Download Cards will default to a dollar amount equaling $5 per remaining download.
  • Free "My Library" upgrade. A new file management system with an upgraded interface and organizational capabilities is now available. See, organize and search all digital designs in full color. Fast and easy to use!

January 2008

Although we had a small turnout on Saturday, we had LOTS of fun!  Kathy brought a version of monkeybread and it was amazing!

Lisa provided us with a great LOVE inspiration as her cards were meant to gear us up for Valentine's Day ... which will be here before you know it.

As a special thank you, each of these ladies will receive 5 Shack Bucks for their contributions.

Your Klub special for January is 40% off QK organizational supplies (binders, tins, storage sheets, magpies) as well as 40% off the Cookie Cutter Monograms!   Great chance to get your dies and alphabets organized!

This special is good through Sat, Jan 26th.

I was able to share the true January release with members on Saturday. Attached you will find them also.  Your FREE $6.99 die with this release is the Shamrock.

I'm hoping to receive December & January releases in the store this week.

Members were able to view the new releases of Digital CDs for the Silhouette as well as new vinyl and transfer paper for the Silhouette.

Members that were able to attend the meeting were able to take advantage of 30% off all in-stock Christmas dies that day.

We also had fun sharing Kelly's exclusive dies that she picked up from that store in Raleigh.  They are adorable (snowman, present, penguin, ?) - thanks for sharing with us Kelly!

Here are the pictures of Kelly's projects ... hope you enjoy!

November 2007

Thank you to all who attended the meeting on Saturday. We had our usual does of food, fun & friends! For those that missed it - you missed it!  Carolin made pumpkin bread to share with everyone ... it was delicious!

Peggye was in charge of our "project" which was themed "autumn". Unfortunately, or maybe it was fortunate, the dies we were thinking of using didn't arrive in the store until Friday (yes, the day before the meeting). Anyway, the ever-crafty Peggye created some beautiful cards using various dies - none of which were "autumn" themed!  Attached to this e-mail, you will find the "recipes" for Peggye's projects. Thanks again, Peggye!

As a special thanks to Carolin & Peggye; you will each receive $5 Shack Bucks!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Member Specials!

Saturday meeting attendees were able to purchase the following alphabets for 55% off Zoe, Moxie - classic, Lucy, Biography (correction from Brittania - whoops!). This sale is good for the next 2 weeks.

Selected dies; 3 for $10 (singlekutz - silhouette/boy, silhouette/girl, platform shoe, bellbottom pants, 3d glasses, go-go boot, sweater, soda bottle, mini dress, army helmet) and 2 for $15 (doublekutz - astronaut, saddle shoe, 50's car, army tank). This is also for 2 weeks.

Selected Die Sets were only $20! The only sets remaining to choose from are (1) military and (1) checkmarks.

November releases will not have a $6.99 die; therefore, again for November, pick your FREE die from the catalog/website. You may choose (2) $6.99 dies or (1) $12.99 for Oct/Nov FREE membership dies. Sorry for any inconvenience, but it's a good way to get some of those older dies you didn't buy yet.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday attendees also were able to play with the Wizard's Spellbinders diecutting system. It's pretty impressive and we discovered that the dies work in the Revolution!! Watch for Scrap Shack to start carrying these in the future - maybe?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our next meeting will be held on Saturday, December 8th from 8-10am.

Bonnie is going to bring us a "breakfast treat" to snack on. And, Kelly has agreed to find a project for us to work on. Saturday was fun ... I'm expecting it will only get better too!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was asked to share this information with you also...

When preparing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington, D.C. 20307-5001

October 2007

We had a "spook-tacular" meeting on Saturday morning. I wish you all could have been in attendance.  A few members made projects in and we shared ideas. (Kathy is going to fax in the template for the witches' shoe - let me know if you want it.)

We decorated black gift bags using all the halloween shapes that we each had to share. Wow, there was a lot! Many of them retired - so that was nice to get to use them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was able to share photos of the upcoming EXCLUSIVE HOLIDAY GIFT SETS - yes, that says SETS - there are 2 of them!

If you would like to prepay to reserve yours, the klub special for October is ... 30% off either or both of the new gift sets.

Snowday (unicase mini alphabet packaged in an adorable snowglobe) $89.99

Merry (Cookie Cutter classic complete alphabet) & Bright (Cookie Cutter classic unicase alphabet) - packaged TOGETHER! $169.99

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

October's FREE $6.99 die is YOUR CHOICE. Due to the exclusive gift sets release, there are no "shape" dies being released. Good news for you, you get to pick your own!

The sooner you get back to me with the die of your choice, the sooner you'll get that die for FREE!
Also, a few of you have already renewed your membership for another 6 months and we thank you! If you have not and wish to do so, please bring your completed “survey” in and renew your membership. Remember, $30 for 6-months … a free die each month pays for your membership fee and you get “specials” on top of that! If you haven't renewed your membership past October, this will be the last e-mail blast you receive with information to be shared with Klub members only.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We've also decided to spice things up a bit - after receiving some of the feedback from our members. Our next meeting will be held on Saturday, November 10th from 8-10am.

Carolin will be bringing a "treat" to share with members. We'll still provided coffee, water and sodas.  Peggye will be providing us with a project idea to "make & take" during our meeting. The theme will coordinate with the next upcoming holiday / season - Thanksgiving / Autumn.

I'm very excited to see what they both have to share with us. It's obviously better to get more ideas off other members and see what someone else may interrupt completely different than us!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have a request to "borrow" the cheerleader (outfit) 2x2 die shape from a current member of the klub. Does someone have it that they could bring it by the Shack to share?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, remember to start your wish list here at the Shack. We can make your friends/family gift-giving shopping a much easier experience for them and YOU!

We can create a “Wish List” on your account. Your list can consists of certain die shapes, tools, alphabets, storage and any other merchandise readily available in the store; unfortunately, not papers and/or embellishments. If you want those, you best get them while you see them because they may not make a return appearance with so many new items being released monthly.

September 2007

Our next meeting will be held on Saturday, October 20th from 8am - 10am.

The October release is scheduled to be sent to us on Tuesday which means you’ll be able to preview all the NEW shapes coming AT the meeting.

Our theme will be Halloween since that is our next upcoming holiday. I would like to ask each of you to bring your “Halloweenie” themed diecuts to this meeting. I have a fun project planned for us to make during our session.

In addition, my QK Klub challenge to you is to make something “Halloweenie” and bring it to this meeting. It could be a layout, a card, an invitation, or a simple decoration. We’ll have some diecuts on hand at the meeting for any of those final touches or stop in a pick one up for yourself before then!

Also, a few of you have already renewed your membership for another 6 months and we thank you! If you have not and wish to do so, please bring your completed “survey” in and renew your membership. Remember, $30 for 6-months … a free die each month pays for your membership fee and you get “specials” on top of that!

We always have fun at our meetings, so I hope you can join us. Due to our planned project, you MUST let me know by Thursday (10/18) if you’ll be attending the meeting.

It is also time to start thinking about the holidays. We’ve come up with a way to keep track of your “wants” in our computer system. We can create a “Wish List” on your account and when someone wants to know what you want – send them in to see us and “I can help”! Your wish list can consists of certain die shapes, tools, alphabets, storage and any other merchandise readily available in the store; unfortunately, not papers and/or embellishments. If you want those, you best get them while you see them because they may not make a return appearance with so many new items being released monthly.

I know this was a lot of information to digest this time, but in closing let me say … I hope to see you all on the 20th!

August 2007

Okay, ladies ... it was just brought to my attention that I haven't sent an e-mail lately regarding this month's meeting.

So, here it is... September's klub meeting will be this Saturday, 9/15 from 8 - 9:30 AM.

We will be using the August release dies themed around school, outdoor, and travel (bus, pencil, flip flops, APPLE, swingset, traffic signs, etc.).

Please bring your tools for your personal use and any related dies to share that you may have accumulated in the past.

The special for September will be 40% off any and all in-stock QK products.  This is in an effort to help clear out our inventory and make room for NEW stuff!
We will honor this discount for 2 weeks following the date of this meeting (Sunday, 9/30). You can not apply this discount to the Silhouette products or on the September release dies ... Sorry!

The September release of new dies should be available for your viewing pleasure on Saturday also!

If you haven't contacted me yet, please let me know if you'll be in attendance at the meeting.

You can still take advantage of an opportunity to purchase some alphabets at a great price. A fellow QK'er has purchased a Silhouette and no longer wishes to "haul aroung" her 2x2 alphas - huge savings for us!
